Dubai Electricity and Water Authority has completed building the water reservoir at Al Lusaily. The reservoir has a capacity of 450 million litres of desalinated water to improve and extend the city’s fresh water supply.
For MEVA KHK, it proved yet another succesful large-scale water project. The engineering team provided Ghantoot Contracting with design and formwork inventory for the columns, tank and baffle walls. Very fast pours to heights above 5 m were achieved with the heavy-duty formwork system Mammut 350 and its 100 kN/m² load capacity.
The next challenge was pouring hundreds of columns with large mushroom- shaped column heads. MEVA engineers developed, designed and produced special L-shape steels units in two heights to handle all the pours easily and fast. The solution proved cost-effective and contributed to a zero hitch workflow.

MEVA fulfils stringent requirements with flexible formwork solutions. The Budapest Zoo & Botanical Garden is one of the Hungary’s most popular cultural attractions.
MEVA STB 450 offers flexible solution for narrow, inclined rail section: Near the municipality of Gretzenbach, the four-track route branches into two separate lines. Here, the two southern tracks gradually descend and pass below the cantonal road before entering the new Eppenberg Tunnel.
BIM stands for Building Information Modelling, a holistic, software-based method for optimised planning and execution of construction projects.
